Terms of Service

Company and contact details

In this document, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Kobaltstack LLC, and "you" means the person using the service.

Accepting these terms

By using the Life Audit website, the worksheet on it, or the Life Audit app when it arrives, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, close the tab — nothing else happens, because we hold nothing of yours.

What the service is

• The website at https://lifeaudit.app: an explanation of the method and a worksheet you can fill in, download, and print.
• The app, still being built. When it opens, it will let you note what happened during the week and review all five areas at once.
• Free today, with no account. We charge nothing, ask for no card, and ask for no sign-up. Paid features may appear later; if they do, these terms will be updated before anything is sold, and the free part described here stays free. This website does not take payments.

What the service is not: a consultation, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or anyone accompanying you personally.

This is not medical care

Life Audit is a self-reflection exercise. It gives no diagnosis, measures nothing about your mental health, and replaces no conversation with a professional. We draw on published research, including Things You Do — that means their approach shapes ours, not that this website treats anything.

What you write stays yours

You own everything you type into the worksheet and, later, into the app. We claim no rights over it, and we could not use it in any case: it stays in your browser and never reaches our server. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

The other side of that: we cannot recover your text. Reload the page and it is gone, because we never had a copy. Download the file if it matters to you.

What you may and may not do

You may use Life Audit as much as you like, for yourself or in your work with clients, print filled-in sheets, tell other people about the site, and link to it.

You may not:

• pass the site or its material off as your own — for example, republish a copy of it under a different name;
• disrupt the service: flood it with automated requests, probe it for vulnerabilities without our agreement, or interfere with other people using it;
• use the Life Audit name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse or partner with someone.

The code, design, text and branding of Life Audit are the property of Kobaltstack LLC and protected by copyright law. All rights reserved. Found a security problem? Write to dmitrypetrakov@gmail.com. We will answer and say thank you.

Signing in with Google, and Google Drive sync

None of this works yet. It is written down here so the terms already cover it on the day it does.

• Signing in stays optional. The app will work with no account. Signing in with Google will only be needed to keep your entries on more than one device.
• Sync of your own entries to a folder in your own Google Drive. Files travel from your browser straight to Google. Entry content does not pass through our server, and we request no access beyond the files the app itself creates.
• You keep control. Revoke access at any time in your Google account settings. Files already in your Drive stay yours; deleting them is your decision, not ours.
• Google's own terms apply too when you use Google sign-in and Drive. What we receive, what we store, and how the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements apply is set out in the Privacy Policy.

What we do not promise

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In plain words, we do not promise that:

• the site will always be reachable or free of errors;
• it will suit your situation in particular;
• any data will be preserved — the site is built so that we hold none of it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption, arising from your use of the service. We are also not responsible for the decisions you make after filling in the worksheet. Those are your decisions about your life, and the site takes no part in them. Nothing here removes rights that consumer law gives you and does not allow us to exclude.

Third-party services

The site runs in a browser made by someone else. Optional features of the app will use Google sign-in and Google Drive. Your use of those is governed by their own terms as well as these.

Changes, and ending the service

We may change the site, add or remove parts of it, and — if it comes to that — shut it down. Since there are no accounts and nothing is paid for, there is nobody to notify individually and no one's money is lost.

These terms may change too. A new version takes effect from the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the new version.

You can stop using Life Audit whenever you like by closing the tab. Nothing needs to be cancelled, because nothing was started.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Kobaltstack LLC, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

If something goes wrong, write to dmitrypetrakov@gmail.com first — for a free tool with no accounts, that has always been enough. If a dispute is not settled informally within 60 days, either side may pursue it through binding arbitration or another process both sides agree to. Mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live remain unaffected.
